Things are clearly going to get quite weird when you come to and you've got a bizzare looking bunny rabbit who can talk greeting you and welcoming you to Candy Meadows. You ask the bunny where it is you are, but the answer he gives doesn't really help - "merely a delusional state of mind". But hey, at least that delusional state if full of sugary sweet candies! The rabbit makes is quite clear to you that this is a place you need to get away from - lest you end up stuck there forever. While him and his other bunny friends are totally harmless, you'll need to beware of the monkeys. Controls are A to move left, D to move right, and W to jump. You don't have any means to attack - so when you encounter a monkey, just do your best to avoid it. Up along the top left of the screen you'll see an icon of your character's face with x and a number next to it - this is how many extra lives you have, which you'll use up as you fully deplete your health meter immeidately to the right of your extra lives. Off on the right side of the top of the screen is a number which is the current number of points that you have amassed. To gain more points, make your way through the games levels and pick up candy that you see along the way. Here's a tip for the game - being a mind bending type of game, things aren't all as they seem - if you see grass, jump to it and land on it, regardless of if it's at the sort of angle you normally would drop like a rock from - land up there and the perspecitve of the game will swing around. Use this to your advantage to find hidden areas to pad out your score. Once you've beaten the game and gotten through all of the levels of it, you'll be able to pick a level to go directly to from the 'select level' option on the main menu. This is a game that will not only require some puzzle solving skills to solve some of the games challenges, but you'll also need to have you reflexes on point to make the many many jumps necessary to reach the end of each and every one of this top notch game's levels. Mindscape is a great pick for lovers of 2D platforming action that also like to challenge their brains, beyond just simple reflexes.
